A Bit About Me
My name is Dr. Aditya Verma, and I'm an orthopaedic surgeon. I spent formative years of my training in Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, New Delhi. I spent the next couple of years in the UK's National Health Service, within the Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh trust — Wrightington being the hospital where Sir John Charnley pioneered the hip replacement that surgeons around the world still build on today. There I completed a Master of Surgery (MCh) in Orthopaedics with a focus on hip and knee, and managed everything from planned joint replacements to the fractures that come through the door at 3am.
I'm a life member of IOA, ISKSAA and the international society for arthroscopy and arthroplasty. I've since returned to Delhi to build my own practice, seeing patients out of a clinic my family of doctors has run for years at Vasant Kunj. My approach is simple: explain the problem in plain language, lay out every reasonable option, and only recommend an operation when it's clearly the best thing for you. Often, it isn't — and I'll tell you that too.
